So for now, the Warriors will have to look back at their glorious history to try and find solace until the situation is resolved.
Of all those teams, none is more beloved than the 2007 Golden State Warriors, who pulled off one of the greatest upsets in NBA history when they beat the 67-win Dallas Mavericks. Still trying to nail down some details, but Baron Davis, Matt Barnes, Jason Richardson and Stephen Jackson all might be playing for the "We Believe" team. Maybe Al Harrington, too.
It is unknown how many current Warriors would participate in the game, or who is sponsoring the game.
The spot for the game is likely to be the San Jose Events Center, with Oct. 29 possibly being the date.
