Stephen Curry Tweaks Ankle Again

From CSN Bay Area’s Matt Steinmetz Twitter:

Stephen Curry sustained mild right ankle sprain at practice. Getting treatment. Status to be determined for Wednesday vs. Hornets.

Uh oh. This couldn’t be worse timing as the Warriors hit the roughest stretch of their home stand. Or is it?

Injuries are costly and the Warriors are already without Louis Amundson. And Monta Ellis already has a bum ankle … or so we thought? But to what extent will Reggie Williams, a bigger and quicker body on defense, help the Warriors? If Curry doesn’t play and Williams is in fact getting more comfortable firing away on offense, then who’s to say that this might not be such a bad thing?

I’m not trying to instigate that Curry is trade-able as Lacob had suggested (if for the right price). But will inserting Williams in the starting line-up be a better match-up, especially in the next few days versus bigger guards in Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups, Derrick Rose, Arron Afflalo, just to name a few?

But I hope that we don’t end up seeing more Charlie Bell.
