The Jeremy Lin hype machine, which I admit to being a cog of myself, is getting out of hand. Either that, or everyone is trying to capitalize on Lin's first 15 minutes of fame (which hopefully will become a lasting career).
↵I only say this because three Asian American musicians, one being Jin best known for annihilating amateur battle rappers on BET's 106 and Park years ago, are in the works of creating a song titled "Warrior" (who would have guessed..), inspired by Lin's hardwork, commitment to his faith, and, indirectly, being Asian American.
↵I am a huge supporter of Asian American artists, but, really? Jeremy Lin's achievements so far are tremendous, but maybe we should we slow down before crowning him a 'pioneer.' This proposed song just seems a little financially opportunistic to me.
