Dorell Wright Finally Gets To Express Himself, Channeling his Inner Hedo Turkoglu

In a SLAMOnline.com feature on new starting small forward Dorell Wright, Jonathan Santiago reports that Wright is glad he gets to “express his whole game now.” But Wright tell Santiago that his whole game the last few years has been patterned off the versatile, equally tall and rangy, Hedo Turkoglu:

Wright said he’s patterned his game after the Orlando Magic version of Hedo Turkoglu. He spent the last two seasons watching plenty of Turkoglu highlights at the advice of the Heat’s coaching staff. He said they envisioned him playing a similar role in Miami.

Turkoglu’s versatility makes him a great player for Wright to model his game after. But lets hope Wright doesn’t model Turkoglu all the way down to his pre-game ritual of pizza.
