Giants Vs. Padres, Starting Lineups: Ryan Vogelsong starts for San Francisco

As the San Francisco Giants continue preparations for the 2012 MLB playoffs, manager Bruce Bochy has a couple of ways to handle his ball club. On one hand, the players could probably benefit from having a game or two off to rest their bodies after nearly six months of play. On the other, it's tough to just flip a switch in baseball and get back into the swing of things on any given night.

Bochy has elected to play all of his everyday regulars on Friday night as the Giants travel to San Diego to take on the Padres. Ryan Vogelsong will make the start, and he has not pitched well in recent months. In his last three starts, Vogelsong is 1-2 with a 6.91 ERA over 14 1/3 innings of work. Young southpaw Andrew Werner will make the start for San Diego.
