The San Francisco Giants begin their last road trip of the regular season on Friday with a three-game set against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
The Giants took two of three from the Arizona Diamondbacks in the final homestand before the playoffs in their last series, but now conclude with a visit with the Padres and then the Dodgers to finish out the season. But with the NL West already locked up, the Giants can afford to give some players some off days, especially their pitching.
Andrew Werner (2-2, 4.64) takes on Ryan Vogelsong (13-9, 3.58) in Friday's opener. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
Eric Stults (7-3, 2.81) squares off against Madison Bumgarner (16-10, 3.26) on Saturday. First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT with coverage on NBC Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
Edinson Volquez (11-11, 4.13) will take the bump for San Diego on Sunday, though the Giants are yet to namer a starter. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
