Pablo Sandoval is going to be a judge in the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant.

One more time, just in case you didn't catch all of that.

Pablo Sandoval is going to be a judge in the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant.

The San Francisco Giants third baseman and 2012 World Series MVP told the Venezuelan Press that he will be a judge in the 2012 Miss Universe Pageant held on Dec. 19 in Las Vegas, according to Rael Enteen of CSNBayArea.com. An official announcement is expected later this week.

After a brief glance at the judges for this year's pageant, I'm not exactly sure where Sandoval fits into the equation among the talent scouts, executives and actors, but apparently he does.

The 26-year-old Sandoval hit .500 with three home runs and four RBI to fuel the Giants sweep of the Detroit Tigers in the 2012 World Series, which has nothing to do with judging beauty pageants.
