Following the San Francisco Giants' World Series victory parade on Wednesday, General Manager Brian Sabean and his front office staff have several important decisions to make regarding the team's free agents.

San Francisco has nine free agents including NLCS MVP Marco Scutaro and outfielder Angel Pagan. Sabean has indicated that bringing Scutaro and Pagan back are top priorities, but re-signing the 31-year-old Pagan could be tough, according to Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News. Pagan had an excellent 2012 season, hitting .288 with 95 runs scored, 61 extra-base hits and 29 stolen bases which might end being what prices him out of the Giants' future plans.

Scutaro was a catalyst during the Giants' championship run, and the 37-year-old wants to stay in San Francisco.

"Of course I want to come back," he told the San Jose Mercury News. "Sometimes there are things you can't control. I don't know what they're thinking or what other teams are thinking. I just have to wait. The only thing I can say is that I hope everything works out, because I want to come back."

Other free agents include relievers Jeremy Affeldt, Guillermo Mota and Brad Penny; outfielders Xavier Nady and Melky Cabrera; infielders Aubrey Huff, Freddy Sanchez and Ryan Theriot.

After a strong postseason, Affeldt could be a tough sign. San Francisco is likely to buy Huff's contract for $2 million rather than pick up his $10 million option.

Outfielder Hunter Pence is eligible for salary arbitration, but has expressed a desire to work out a long-term deal with the club.
