World Series 2012, Giants vs. Tigers: Tie game heading into the top of the seventh inning

In the top of the sixth inning, down 2-1, Giants catcher Buster Posey took a changeup from the Tigers' Max Scherzer over the left field wall for a two-run home run to give the Giants a 3-2 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth. But the Tigers' Delmon Young answered with a solo homerun of his own to tie it up heading into the seventh inning.

Posey hit 24 home runs and drove in 103 RBI during the regular season and is consistently lauded as the heart and soul of the Giants. The Giants are looking to put away the Tigers and win their second World Series in three years, the first of which came with a rookie Posey behind the plate.

Matt Cain has hung in there for the Giants pitching six innings, giving up three runs on five hits with four strike outs and two walks. He hasn't been great but his lineup has had his back.

Scherzer has fought as well with six innings pitched, giving up three runs on six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts.
