World Series Game 3, Giants vs. Tigers score: San Francisco maintains 2-0 lead

Since the San Francisco Giants scored two runs in the top of the 2nd inning against Detroit Tigers right-handed starter Anibal Sanchez, the two teams have been held scoreless since then as they enter the bottom of the 5th inning.

While the Giants maintain their 2-0 lead, right-handed starter Ryan Vogelsong worked around a Tigers threat in the third inning, to keep his team ahead in game three of the World Series.

After allowing a pair of soft singles with one out in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Vogelsong induced an easy double play ball off the bat of Quintin Berry. The double play not only allowed the Giants to escape the inning without any damage, but left AL MVP candidate Miguel Cabrera at the on deck circle.

The Tigers will send their bottom of the order up in Jhonny Peralta, Alex Avila and Omar Infante as they look to get it to their heart of the order.
