The San Francisco Giants head to St. Louis for Game 3 of the NLCS on Wednesday. The Giants split their first two homes games with the Cardinals and will be looking to take a 2-1 series lead on the road.
Matt Cain takes the hill for San Francisco. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA in the postseason thus far. He posted a 16-5 record with a 2.79 ERA in the regular season, and defeated the Cardinals back on May 17.
St. Louis counters with Kyle Lohse. He went 16-3 with a 2.86 ERA in the regular season. Lohse has not faced San Francisco this year. He went seven innings, allowing just one run while striking out five in his last start against the Washington Nationals.
With two talented pitchers on the mound, the game should be a low-scoring affair after the Giants won Game 2 by putting seven runs on the board.
