Bovada.lv believes the odds favor Josh Hamilton signing with the San Francisco Giants this offseason. San Francisco is a 3-1 favorite to land the Texas Rangers' free agent and the Rangers themselves are tied with the Atlanta Braves with the second-best odds at 5-1.
At the end of the season, Hamilton told The Dallas Morning News that he had a 50-50 chance of returning to the Rangers:
"I would always love to stay here. They understand that and they know that. When we talked earlier in the year, we didn't get things worked out, so we said we'd wait until the year was over and they obviously get the first shot."
Hamilton batted .285 this season, hitting 43 home runs and 128 RBI. That should net him a contract somewhere in the nine-figure range.
Here's a look at Bovada.tv's complete odds for teams to land Hamilton:
San Francisco Giants 3-1
Atlanta Braves 5-1
Texas Rangers 5-1
Philadelphia Phillies 7-1
New York Yankees 9-1
Chicago Cubs 9-1
Boston Red Sox 9-1
Pittsburgh Pirates 10-1
Toronto Blue Jays 10-1
Los Angeles Dodgers 15-1
