The California Golden Bears look to rebound from early struggles when they take on the Arizona St. Sun Devils Saturday afternoon in Memorial Stadium. Cal is coming off one of the toughest two-game stretches of the season after losing to Ohio State and USC on the road, and now are down to 1-3 on the season. Cal hopes to rebound at home as the team's schedule eases up with five of its next seven games at Memorial Stadium.

Arizona State has played much better, particularly with impressive home wins over Illinois and Utah where they totally dismantled their opponents on both sides of the ball. Arizona State has historically struggled with Cal during the Jeff Tedford era, but are these Bears much weaker as a team this time? The Cal defense has struggled against almost every unit they faced this year, and ASU's offense has been very efficient at moving the ball down the field against all their opponents.

The Cal offense also has experienced innumerable hiccups and hardly looks like an overpowering unit. The Bears have their work cut out for them.
