The Pac-12 conference dives head first into league play in Week 4 of the 2012 College football schedule. Five games pitting Pac-12 teams against each other will be featured on Saturday.
The California Golden Bears open up their Pac-12 schedule when they travel to Los Angeles and face the USC Trojans. Cal suffered a heart-breaking defeat last week, as their upset bid on the road against Ohio State fell one score short. The loss dropped the Golden Bears to 1-2 on the season, meaning they will have to win five games in conference play to reach a bowl game.
The Trojans are still reeling from their surprising loss to Stanford last Saturday. The Cardinal beat up on USC, especially in the trenches, and the high-powered Trojan offense could only muster 14 points. They will be looking to get back on track against Cal.
Stanford has a bye this week and gets a few extra days to savor its fourth-straight victory over USC. The Cardinal visit Washington on Sept. 27.
