The 2012 Pac-12 Basketball Tournament will be held in Los Angeles beginning on Wednesday. There are two Bay Area teams attempting to become the champions of the conference, although only one will be able to advance past the quarterfinals.
The No. 7 seed Stanford Cardinals will take on the No. 10 seed Arizona St. Sun Devils in the opening round on Wednesday. Should the Cardinal prevail, they will face the second-seeded California Golden Bears in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
The Golden Bears will enjoy their first-round bye and receive an extra day of planning and rest.
