Cal Vs. USF, Final Score: Golden Bears Season Ends With 65-54 Loss To Bulls

The California Golden Bears entered the First Four with high hopes against the University of South Florida Bulls on Wednesday night, but an ice cold start ensured a incredibly sour finish to their 2011-12 campaign, falling hard by the score 65-54 of at Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio.

Cal did well to fight back after scoring only 13 points in the first half, outscoring USF 41-29 in the second half. Harper Kamp led the way with 19 points and seven boards, while Jorge Gutierrez added 11 and six assists. Allen Crabbe finished with 10 on only 3-14 shooting on the night, as Cal finished at 36 percent shooting from the floor tonight.

As for the Bulls, they were led by the trio of Anthony Collins, Victor Rudd Jr. and Augusts Gilchrist this evening, combining for 40 of USF's 65 points tonight, who finished the game shooting over 57 percent from the floor tonight. They now move on to face the Temple Owls on Thursday.
