Cal Vs. USF Halftime Score: Golden Bears Tourney Hopes Fading, Trail 36-13 At the Half

The California Golden Bears find themselves in a tough spot in the First Four against the University of South Florida Bulls, coming out of the gates very sluggish, leaving themselves behind the 8-ball with a 20-point deficit to overcome by the tune of 36-13 at Dayton Arena in Daytona, OH.

Cal came out shooting terribly, firing off at a 20.8 percent clip of 5-24 from the floor including 0-4 from downtown. Harper Kamp is the only player producing much for the Golden Bears, finishing the first half with seven points on 3-7 shooting. Jorge Gutierrez has only two points on 1-3 shooting.

Anthony Collins leads the way for USF, dropping 10 first half points on 5-6 shooting while Augustus Gilchrist added eight. Below are some highlights from Collins and his USF squad in the first half. Not much 'highlight' material from Cal unfortunately.

It's going to be an uphill battle for Cal in the second half, hopefully they can spark a serious comeback.
