The California Golden Bears are going to be sweating out Selection Sunday.
Cal struggled in their second straight matchup against the Colorado Buffaloes, and just could not get over the hump. After taking a narrow lead on a second half comeback, the Bears suddenly could not the ball in the basket, and found themselves falling behind by double digits, which was too big a hole for them to climb out of. Carlon Brown had a career night with 17 points on 8-15 shooting, Andre Roberson needed only six shots to put in 17 points and nine rebounds, then Austin Dufault added 15 points.
The Bears again struggled to hold onto the basketball, managing 17 turnovers to 13 assists. Allen Crabbe had 18 points and Justin Cobbs put in 15 points, while Jorge Gutierrez added 10 points.
