It's National Signing Day 2012, and 5-Star recruit Andrus Peat, a 6'7, 305 pound offensive tackle from Tempe, Arizona's Corona Del Sol High School, is set to announce his college of choice Wednesday morning at 10:35 PT on ESPNU. Peat has narrowed his choices down to Nebraska, Florida State, USC, and Stanford.
Though Nebraska is the likely favorite - Peat's older brother is already with the Huskers - Stanford is making a late charge to land the offensive lineman. The Arizona native recently tweeted:
Just got admitted to Stanford.. still haven't decided on a school yet tho— Andrus Peat (@AndrusPeat) January 22, 2012
lt would be a tough decision for anyone - both Nebraska and Stanford are known for producing NFL caliber offensive linemen and USC and Florida State are highly respected in that area as well. Beating out the three competing schools would be a bit of a coup for Stanford so it should be interesting to see which way Peat goes.
