The California Golden Bears travel to Seattle to face the Washington Huskies and currently sit as approximately one point underdogs. This is an interesting little twist as the Bears were three point underdogs when the line opened at the beginning of the week. This indicates people are either thinking the Bears can pull this put against a questionable Washington defense, or that it will at least be an incredibly tight battle like their 2010 thriller.
The Bears are looking to avenge the 2010 loss and have gotten off to a fast start in 2011. Cal is 3-0 but 2-1 against the spread this season with their only miss coming against Colorado. The Bears were six point favorites and escaped in overtime with the victory. Wins are really all that matter for the team, but naturally betting folks would like to win some money.
The over/under on the game is 58 1/2 points. Given how the two teams have played defense at times this season, I'd be more than happy to hop on the over in this win. I could see this one being a shootout.
