Cal Athletics released four pages of documents from the Willie Lyles invoice, indicating they'd paid $5,000 for information regarding Texas recruits. None of the recruits committed to the California Golden Bears football team.

Scouting service owner Willie Lyles has now been connected with outdated video tape of recruits that he sold to the Oregon Ducks and LSU Tigers. It cannot be assumed that a similar investigation will occur with the California Golden Bears.
