Jason Kidd, NBA Champion

Cal basketball great Jason Kidd is not one of those guys that needed a ring to cement his legacy as one of the greatest point guards of all time. But let it be known he played solid defense on this list of players to win his first ever NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks in their 4-2 victory over the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals: Kobe Bryant, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James. Without those contributions, particularly in clutch situations, Dirk Nowitzki and Dallas would not have captured their first ever NBA Championship.

Kidd's statline is not going to overwhelm anyone when it comes to numbers, but his defensive savvy, his clutch basketball plays (which M. Haubs of the Painted Area broke down in detail), his veteran leadership was enough to overcome the Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Heat to capture his ring.

We'll have more on Jason Kidd tomorrow morning. For now, we ask you this. Where does Kidd rank among the greatest point guards ever now that he has his championship?
