Remound Wright Signs With Stanford on 2011 National Signing Day

Running Back Remound Wright has officially submitted his national letter of intent to join the Stanford Cardinal in 2011. The all-state running back from Indiana will compete for playing time behind junior running back Stepfan Taylor. It’s safe to say Wright is pleased with how events transpired.

ESPNU lists Wright as a three-star recruit, while Scout.com has him as a four star recruit. Scout provided a detailed scouting report on Wright:

Runs with a low center of gravity and not giving defenders much to hit except knees and shoulder pads. Good patience in setting up his blocks. A good receiver out of the backfield, sometimes lines up in the slot receiver position. Wright has a thick lower body coupled with good balance makes him very good at breaking tackles as arm tacklers tend to slide right off of him. Good enough top end speed to finish a run – Scott Kennedy, Scout.com

Wright is impressive on and off the field and will make an excellent addition for Stanford football and academics. He reportedly runs a 4.5 40 and scored a 1950 on the SAT to go with is 4.33 GPA. In his last two seasons at Bishop Dwenger High School he rushed for 3,943 yards and 70 touchdowns.
