Isaiah Thomas, Matthew Bryan-Amaning, Washington Huskies Blow Out Jorge Gutierrez & California Golden Bears

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) – Isaiah Thomas scored a 23 points and dished out nine assists to lead the Washington Huskies to a 109-77 win over the California Golden Bears in a Pac-10 Conference showdown at Bank of America Arena.

Matthew Bryan-Amaning added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies (16-7, 8-4 PAC10), while C.J. Wilcox chipped in with 14 points in the win. Justin Holiday also got involved, netting 12 points, while Scott Suggs and Terrence Ross checked in with 11 points apiece.

The Golden Bears (13-11,6-6) were paced by Jorge Gutierrez, who scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a losing effort. Markhuri Sanders-Frison and Jeff Powers added 13 points apiece for California.

Washington took control of the contest in the first half, shooting 59.5 percent from the floor to take a 58-34 lead at the break.

The Huskies put the game away in the second stanza, knocking down 7-of-14 three-point attempts, en route to a 32-point victory.

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as the Huskies outscored the Golden Bears 51-6 from long distance.
