Arik Armstead just decommitted from the USC Trojans. Could he be turning right toward their archrivals for a new college home?
The highly rated Pleasant Grove tackle prospect took his official to South Bend this weekend for the Notre Dame-USC game, and he really enjoyed his time there. Jason Sapp of Blue And Gold Illustrated caught up with Armstead, who told him that he ranked his visit a '10'. The praise doesn't get much higher than that, does it?
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish could really use defensive linemen, so Armstead could definitely fit right in here since this is his preferred position. That being said, it'd be hard to believe Armstead is totally all-in on the Irish this early in the recruiting process, considering its only his first official. Let's see if Notre Dame remains on top down the road, especially with trips to powerhouses like Alabama and Texas coming up.
