(For more extensive coverage of the game and a lot of Bak Bak love, check out the recap of Cal-UC Davis over at the California Golden Blogs. Berkeley, CA (Sports Network) – Gary Franklin scored 13 points to power the California Golden Bears to a 74-62 victory over the UC Davis Aggies in a non- league affair.

Bak Bak added 12 points for Cal (4-2), which received 10 points from Markhuri Sanders-Frison.

Joe Harden poured in a career-high 27 points in defeat for UC Davis (3-5).

California owned a 39-30 advantage at intermission and led throughout the second half.

Franklin, a promising freshman, shot 5-of-26 from the floor in his previous two games combined, so Wednesday’s 4-of-8 shooting effort was a welcomed site for fans of the team.

The Golden Bears have now won all 31 meetings between these two teams, who clashed tonight for the first time in 24 years.
