Cal Loses Third Place Game In Old Spice Classic To Boston College

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) – Biko Paris and Joe Trapani scored 12 points each as the Boston College Eagles bested the California Golden Bears, 68-46, in the final round of the Old Spice Classic at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex.

Reggie Jackson scored 11 points for the Eagles (4-2), who have won three of their last four. Trapani pulled down eight rebounds

Jorge Gutierrez scored 12 points for California (3-2). Markhuri Sanders-Frison finished with 11 points and six boards.

Boston College led 35-31 at halftime after shooting 15-of-31 from the floor in the first half. California shot 50 percent from the floor and was 6-of-9 from three-point range in the opening 20 minutes.

Boston College broke the game open in the second half and led by 26 with 2:01 left in the game.

The Eagles collected 21 points off their bench and 15 points off 15 California turnovers.
