DeMarcus Cousins played about as good against the Raptors Friday as a big man can play.

The Sacramento Kings easily handled the Toronto Raptors, 105-96, Friday to earn just their third road victory of the season.

DeMarcus Cousins led the way with a beastly game, wrangling in career-high 20 rebounds to go along with a season-high 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting. Cousins combined with John Salmons (20 points) to outscore Toronto's entire starting unit by 10 points. Kyle Lowry was the high-man for the Raptors with 24 points.

Things were pretty close for the first half before the Kings took it to Toronto in the third, outscoring the Raptors 28-10. Toronto made only three of their 21 attempts in the quarter while tossing six turnovers Sacramento's way.

The Kings are now quietly surging up the standings, winning six of their last eight following their most recent five game losing streak. Next up for Sacramento is a Saturday visit Brooklyn as the Kings look for some revenge for their 99-90 loss to the Nets from back in November.

The Warriors have owned the Clippers this season but will they be able to do it again on Saturday?

The Clippers seemingly can beat everyone in the NBA this season besides those pesky Warriors.

Golden State took it to Chris Paul and company this past Wednesday, dominating the Clippers at home, 115-94. Now, they'll be looking to perform the same feat this Saturday for the second act of their back-to-back, home-and-away series.

The Warriors (22-10) will be hoping that Stephen Curry can lead them out to another quick lead if they're to make it three wins in a row against the Clippers (25-8). Curry had 25 of his 31 points in the first half of Wednesday's meeting which helped propel Golden State to a 13-point halftime lead. He might have a good chance at another hot start once again, when you factor in that the Clippers are set to face off against the Lakers the previous night.

As for the other Bay Area team, the Kings (12-20) are set to take the court twice this weekend with visits to Toronto and Brooklyn. First up is the Raptors on Friday as Sacramento looks to build off their 107-100 victory from earlier in the season. The next night, the Kings will be looking for some sweet revenge against a Nets team who handled Sacramento at home, 99-90, back in November.

Check back in with SB Nation Bay Area throughout the weekend for continued updates on the Warriors and Kings.

SB Nation NFL draft editor Dan Kadar sees the Raiders going defense over quarterback in his latest mock draft Monday.

Now that it's certain that the Raiders own the third overall selection, SB Nation's Dan Kadar has them selecting Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore in his latest mock draft Monday.

Here's what our mother site's NFL draft editor had to say about his prediction:

"Terrelle Pryor isn't the answer at quarterback for Oakland, but this is early for Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson or Mike Glennon. Instead, Oakland could look to improve one of the league's worst pass rush units with the talented Moore. Not only did Moore lead Texas A&M in tackles this season, he also had 20 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. After playing with his hand in the dirt and standing up, Moore would give the Raiders some flexibility on defense."

And really, it's hard to argue with Kadar's logic. Only one team finished with less sacks than the Raiders this season so a pass rusher would go a long way to fixing their defensive woes. With Richard Seymour a virtual lock to be in a different uniform next season as well, the Raiders would be wise to add an impact player into their dreadful defensive line rotation.

Moore weighs in a 6'4, 250 pounds. Beyond the stats that Kadar already listed, Moore also registered 80 tackles and was named an All-American by four different media outlets.

Which is worse: playing two consecutive nights or facing the best team in the NBA two games in a row?

The Warriors and Kings will be facing two distinctly different types of back-to-backs this week with each presenting some unfavorable circumstances.

The Kings will take the hardwood first with a pair of Tuesday-Wednesday road games against the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers. Sacramento hasn't seen Cleveland yet but they already slipped by the Pistons earlier this season with a 105-103 victory so they'll be looking to complete a sweep in that series. Then again, that will be a lofty feat when you take into consideration that the Kings are 1-12 away from Sleep Train Arena this season.

The Warriors' back-to-back on the other hand isn't of the consecutive games variety but rather the type in which you play the best team in the NBA two games in a row. On Wednesday, the Warriors will play host to a Clippers team that is currently in the midst of a 17-game winnings streak. And three days later, they head down to Los Angeles to do it all over again against the same bunch of guys.

In the good news department, the Warriors are actually one of six teams to hand the Clippers a defeat this season so they might stand more of a chance than most realize.

For continued Warrior and King updates, check back with SB Nation Bay Area throughout the week.

The Raiders are relatively healthy heading into Week 17 with only two players listed as questionable.

The Oakland Raiders are currently unsure if SS Tyvon Branch (neck/ankle) and G Mike Brisiel (concussion/ankle) will be ready to go for their season finale after listing both as questionable on Friday's injury report.

Branch sat out Wednesday and Thursday's practices before getting a limited session in Friday. As Silver and Black Pride's Levi Damien points out, Branch has followed this exact pattern the past three weeks and has been able to play in the last two so it seems likely he'll suit up.

Brisiel wasn't as fortunate though and sat out Friday, giving him a hat trick of missed practices. With that in mind, it's looking like rookie third-round pick Tony Bergstrom will draw the start against the Chargers.

As for the rest of the injury report, TE David Ausberry (knee), T Khalif Barnes (triceps), LB Miles Burris (knee), DE Jack Crawford (toe), WR Juron Criner (hip) and TE Brandon Myers (shoulder) were all listed as probable for the Raiders' Week 17 contest.

QB Carson Palmer (knee/hamstring) and DB Phillip Adams (groin) have already been ruled out with the latter of the two being placed on I.R.

San Jose State ended its resurgent 2012 campaign in ideal fashion Friday, earning a 29-20 victory over Bowling Green in the Military Bowl.

The San Jose State Spartans didn't have their head coach or their run game Friday, but they still left the Military Bowl with a 29-20 victory over the Bowling Green Falcons.

Quarterback David Fales came through with his third straight 300-yard game, as he threw for 394 yards and two touchdowns on 33 of 43 passing. The big numbers were needed, too, considering the six Spartans who registered a rushing attempt combined for -17 yards on 23 carries.

Fales and the Spartans struck first on their second drive of the game, as the JUCO transfer hooked up with wide receiver Kyle Nunn for a 33-yard touchdown pass. But offense wouldn't be easy to come by after that point, as the normally explosive Spartans compiled four three-and-outs throughout the game. In fact, San Jose State's offense didn't find pay dirt again until a little over two minutes were left in the third quarter.

Yet even with both teams trading punches, the Spartans seemed to be in control throughout, so it wasn't too surprising when they battled back in a big way in the fourth quarter. After Bowling Green running back John Pettigrew broke through with a one-yard score to give the Falcons a late 20-19 edge, Fales calmly lead his team down the field to retake the lead with a 27-yard field goal.

Less than 30 seconds later, WAC Defensive Player of the Year Travis Johnson came through with a clutch strip sack to stall Bowling Green's comeback before it could ever happen. Running back DeLeon Eskridge then added an easy one-yard touchdown to give the Spartans a two-score lead, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Falcons.

This was the first time that San Jose State has finished with an 11-win season since becoming a major college football program. It looks like it was just in the nick of time too, considering this is the last WAC football game ever to be played with the conference disbanding.

Overall, this was a pretty fitting way to end what was a magical season for San Jose State. Sure, you could say that the Spartans didn't face the stiffest of competition, but it's still absolutely remarkable that this team was able to finish with seven straight wins just two years after a 1-12 campaign. While head coach Mike MacIntyre, who was hired to take over at Colorado, will surely be missed, he undoubtedly left the program in far superior shape then it was in only a short while ago, all while reinvigorating the Spartan fan base.

A Raiders defense in desperate need of reinforcements won't be getting any along the defensive line Sunday with Richard Seymour (knee/hamstring) ruled out once again.

Oakland Raiders DT Richard Seymour will miss his seventh consecutive game Sunday as he continues to deal with knee and hamstring issues.

It's a bit surprising that the Raiders haven't simply shut Seymour down at this point with only one more game for him to possibly play in. Additionally, there's little incentive for him to return with the Raiders simply playing for pride and Seymour being a free agent in 2013.

WR Juron Criner (hip) and SS Tyvon Branch (neck/ankle) could sit out Sunday's game as well after being listed as questionable by team officials. Criner seems the likelier of the two to be ready after participating in practice for three consecutive days in a limited capacity. Branch was also limited Friday but only after resting the previous two days.

As for the rest of the Raiders injury report, DB Phillip Adams (concussion), T Khalif Barnes (triceps), TE Richard Gordon (biceps) and SS Mike Mitchell (neck) were all handed a probable tag. Adams availability is a bit surprising considering he's suffered two concussions in the past three games but apparently he's a quick healer.

The Giants added another arm Friday to compete for a back of the bullpen role.

The San Francisco Giants successfully claimed right-handed pitcher Sandy Rosario off waivers from the Cubs Friday, according to Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago.

Rosario pitched in only four games for the Miami Marlins this season, allowing six earned across three innings for an ERA of 18.00. Rosario did flash some potential in the minors though logging a 1.99 ERA with 8.2 K/9 for three different affiliates throughout the 2012 season.

The Giants' acquisition of Rosario completes his epic cross-country journey this offseason as he's now gone from Miami to Boston to Oakland back to Boston to Chicago to San Francisco in about two months time. If the 27 year old is able to stick in the Bay, he'll be expected to fight for a bullpen spot. And with competition shaping up to be Chad Gaudin, Omar Javier, Eric Hacker and Fabio Castillo, there's certainly a chance that Rosario makes it out of Spring Training alive.

Darren McFadden got a little carried away with his adjectives following the Raiders 15-0 victory against the Chiefs Sunday.

Although those who were forced to watch might not agree, Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden called Sunday's 15-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs "an overall great game for us," according to CSN Bay Area.

That's a bit of a hyperbole for a contest that featured two teams who failed to put a single touchdown on the board. Then again, when you win for the first time in seven games, you'd probably be willing to call a 2-0 final score a "great game."

The Chiefs and Raiders combined to go 0-for-4 in the red zone Sunday in what was only the second shutout by Oakland in the history of this rivalry. Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski provided the only offense on the day as he connected on field goals from 20, 50, 57, 30 and 41 yards away.

From a glass half full analysis, this was McFadden's best game of the season in terms of total yardage (149), but it also was the eighth time in 10 games this season that he's been held under four yards per carry (3.7 on Sunday).
