Athletics vs. Tigers, 2012 ALDS Game 2: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

The A's will look to even the series with the Tigers behind another rookie pitcher

Ed Szczepanski-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Oakland Athletics will face another tough test on the road as they face the Detroit Tigers in game 2 of their American League Division Series at 12:07 pm ET at Comerica Park in Detroit.

The A's could only muster a Coco Crisp leadoff home run off of Tigers' ace Justin Verlander in a game one loss. Verlander struck out 11 batters, shutting down an A's team that had won its final six regular season games.

The A's will trot out their second rookie pitcher in a row with Tommy Milone taking the mound a day after the A's lost with Jarrod Parker pitching. Milone was 13-10 with a 3.74 ERA during the regular season.

Milone will face a tough, explosive lineup in the Tigers as well as be faced with having to outduel the Tigers' Doug Fister.

Fister is 8-4 with a 2.67 ERA over his last 15 starts since the All-Star break and 10-10 with a 3.45 ERA overall.
