On the eve of the Super Bowl, the San Francisco 49ers are favored by 3.5 points over Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens, according to OddsShark.

San Francisco has been the more impressive team over the duration of the season, but both teams have shined brightly in the playoffs. Baltimore had to beat Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady to get here, while San Francisco overcame a 17-0 deficit in the NFC Championship against the Atlanta Falcons, after beating Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

The 49ers have been exceptional offensively in recent times, scoring 73 points in their two playoff games. Colin Kaepernick is the ringleader, running the option to perfection while using his cannon of an arm to devastate defenses.

Joe Flacco has been everything the Ravens could have ever asked him to be. The Delaware product has thrown for eight touchdowns and zero interceptions in the playoffs, a statline that sounds awfully like something another 49ers quarterback would put up.
