The San Francisco 49ers appear to be confident that defensive tackle Justin Smith will be ready for the team's first playoff game. So does Justin Smith, who believes he's all set to go two weeks from now from the team's next playoff contest.

Smith came back and practiced nine days before the team's first playoff game, and he feels like he's in good shape for the game. Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area filed this report and obtained these quotes from Smith.

Smith partially tore a triceps tendon in his left arm during San Francicso's shootout with the New England Patriots. He missed the final two games of the regular season aiming to heal the injury in time for a playoff run.

The 49ers will get a crucial week off before their first playoff matchup, as they earned a first round bye last week with a win over their Cardinals.
