Kobe Bryant's Los Angeles Lakers seem to have found their stride in recent days, beating the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder convincingly in consecutive games.

But having not scored 30 points since Jan. 15, Bryant's somewhat diminished output has given Las Vegas oddsmakers an unusual idea for a Super Bowl prop bet, one that fits right in with the bevy of odd wagers bettors can make in the days leading up to Super Bowl XLVII.
LVH Sportsbooks in Vegas has posted the intriguing wager — who will score more points on Sunday, Kobe Bryant in his afternoon meeting with the Detroit Pistons, or the San Francisco 49ers against the vaunted Baltimore Ravens defense?
WHO WILL HAVE MORE:
**(Lakers/Pistons--February 3, 2013) Prop closes at 10:00 am Pacific
KOBE BRYANT (LAL) POINTS -0.5 -110
49ERS POINTS +0.5 -110
The line is nearly a toss up, but a game against the Pistons will likely give Bryant a shot at a big game, so bettors can probably ignore his 17.5 ppg these last two Lakers victories. Plus, with two defenses set to battle it out in New Orleans on Sunday, Bryant's offensive output could be considered a favorite here.
Colin Kaepernick, Vernon Davis and the rest of the 49ers offense will probably have something to say about whether this bet turns out to be among the book's more wrenching.
Similar bets are available concerning the Miami Heat's Chris Bosh and LeBron James and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin, but then who would pass up the chance to wager on the endless saga that has been the Lakers' 2012-13 season?
