The San Francisco 49ers don't really have any huge injuries they have to worry about, but they might have to monitor the status of defensive tackle Justin Smith and offensive tackle Joe Staley.
Smith is a defensive wrecking ball when he's fully healthy. Right now he seems to be playing every night, but he's not close to being at 100 percent. Smith is dealing with a torn triceps that impairs his movement and seems to limit how much he can explode or get past his man on the offensive line. The Packers mostly contained Smith on Saturday night and he had a quiet game.
Staley also injured himself during Saturday night's contest against Green Bay, but it seems to be a bad bruise and should heal in time for Sunday's game. Staley contained Clay Matthews pretty easily en route to a San Francisco offensive bulldozing.
David Fucillo of Niners Nation had this to say about both Smith and Staley.
Staley injured his arm early in Saturday's game, but it is reportedly just a bad bruise. Staley had an x-ray after the game, and it reportedly came up negative. I expect him to be listed as limited in practice this week, but he should play Sunday.
As for Justin Smith, he made it through Saturday's game well, facing double teams much of the game. The 49ers did not get a ton of pressure until the second half, but having him in the game was key. I expect him to also be listed as limited all week, but he too should be good to go on Sunday.
