2013 NFL playoff scenarios: 49ers try to fight off Seahawks in NFC West

The 49ers are in the playoffs but they still have plenty to play for as the season enters its final two weeks.

The playoff picture is still cloudy for some teams and that includes the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners have already locked up a spot in the playoffs but what seed they'll be is still up for grabs, giving them something to play for the rest of the way.

The Niners are currently the No. 2 seed with a 10-3-1 record. But they have not locked up the NFC West due to the play of the Seattle Seahawks, who trail them at 9-5 with two games remaining. The Seahawks are currently the fifth seed and nobody in the league wants them to earn a game at home, where they are undefeated this season. It's up to the Niners to prevent that from happening.

The rest of the NFC playoffs includes the top seed Atlanta Falcons, who have already clinched the NFC South championship. The Green Bay Packers sit in the No. 3 spot after clinching the NFC North. The Washington Redskins have shocked everyone by moving into the fourth seed as the current leader in the NFC East but they have nothing sewn up just yet. The Minnesota Vikings hold the No. 6 seed by a thread as the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are all tied at 8-6 with the Vikings currently holding the tiebreaker.
