49ers vs. Rams lines & odds

The San Francisco 49ers opened as favorites before they hit the road to play the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith, the oddsmakers aren't thinking the quarterback situation matters. The San Francisco 49ers opened as six-point favorites when they play the St. Louis Rams Sunday at Edward Jones Dome, and the spread in the 49ers' favor has increased after opening, according to OddsShark.com.

The 49ers are 7-1-1 straight up in their last nine games against the Rams.

San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh said he'll go with his young quarterback against the Rams, and with that, the over/under for Sunday's game opened at 41. San Francisco has one of the best defenses in the NFL and gives up only 14.1 points per game, and St. Louis only scores 18.6. So betting on the over/under will be a question of whether the 49ers offense can put up points on the Rams, who aren't terrible defensively.

However, the total has gone over in St. Louis' last give games and over in San Francisco's last three, according to OddsShark.com.
