San Francisco 49ers star pass rusher Aldon Smith took to Twitter to deny rumors that he was jumped outside a Mexican restaurant in Columbia, Missouri early Thursday morning.
Here's two of Smiths' tweets in which he rejects the allegations:
Didn't get jumped_ stop asking

CSN Bay Area insider Matt Maiocco confirmed earlier in the day that the team had been in touch with Smith and release a statement saying there is "no substance to the rumors" that Smith was involved in a jumping incident.
The rumors first surfaced after Ashley Zavala of Missouri's local NBC TV affiliate tweeted that Smith was jumped while leaving El Rancho in Columbia.
This is not the first time Smith's name has arose in an off-field incident. The 23-year-old linebacker was arrested for a January DUI in Miami Beach and he also reported multiple stab wounds after being stabbed at a house party in July.
Luckily for 49ers fans, this time around it, this seems to be nothing more than a bad case of misinformation.
