The Niners have thus far this season been one of the best teams in the NFL as far as producing fantasy football studs. Frank Gore, Alex Smith, Vernon Davis, David Akers and the defensive unit are amongst the leaders at their respective positions. Let's see who will be the big winners this week.
First, the guys you want to start:
START: Frank Gore. The Bills gave up approximately four thousand rushing yards to the Patriots last week, and the Niners have to be licking their chops at the thought of putting up a big rushing day themselves. Frank Gore is going to eat the Bills alive. He may be the top fantasy play this week.
START: Vernon Davis. The Niners didn't have to pass much last week against the Jets, They probably will at least try to do so against the Bills (because it is easy) and Davis will be the most likely recipient of Alex Smith's passes. He's the top overall fantasy tight end and will likely play like it this week.
START: Niners defense. The Bills put up points at a good clip, but they also commit a lot of turnovers. The Niners are good at forcing turnovers. They should put up a good fantasy score this week.
And here's who you should sit.
SIT: Alex Smith. The Bills corners are good at picking off passes and the Bills have a fierce pass rush. While Smith may have a touchdown or two, he's not a starter-worthy player this week.
SIT: Any wide receiver. Moss, Crabtree, and Manningham are poor starts this week because the Niners, like last week, will likely be able to run the ball at will.
