49ers vs. Bills: Isaac Sopoaga back at practice on Wednesday

San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga returned to the practice field on Wednesday.

The San Francisco 49ers are getting some of their most important players back to health, as Isaac Sopoaga, Ted Ginn Jr. and Brandon Jacobs all returned to the practice field for Wednesday's session leading up to the game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported via Twitter that all three players were on hand for the start of practice, but it was unclear whether or not their participation was limited or in a full capacity.

Sopoaga injured his left knee in the Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Though X-rays on the injury came back negative, he did not play against the New York Jets in Week 4. If all goes well, he should be a lock to suit up at home vs. the Bills.

Jacobs is looking for his first action of the 2012 season since injuring his knee in the preseason. His participation in practice this week indicates the strong possibility that he may return to action and give the 49ers a much-needed lift in short yardage situations. Ginn made his 2012 debut in Week 4 and appeared to suffer no setbacks vs. the Jets.
