49ers vs. Cardinals injury report: Joe Staley returns to practice

After missing practice on Thursday due to an illness, Joe Staley returned to practice on Friday.

San Francisco 49ers' left tackle Joe Staley returned to practice on Friday on a limited basis after sitting out Thursday's practice due to an illness.

Despite being a limited participant in Friday's practice, Staley is expected to play on Monday against the Arizona Cardinals. He was questionable last week with a concussion but assumed his regular spot at left tackle against Seattle.

Staley's sickness is the only major injury concern for the 49ers as the rest of the team practiced fully on Friday. Mario Manningham, Alex Smith, Frank Gore, Andy Lee and Tavares Gooden were all listed on the injury report, but all five went through their second straight day of full practice.

With Staley expected to be recovered in time for Monday's game, the 49ers should be as close to full strength as a NFL team can get this far into the season. By playing on Monday night, the 49ers practice schedule is pushed back one day this week and San Francisco will conduct its final full practice on Friday.
