Just a week after suffering bruised ribs which forced him to sleep sitting up, San Francisco running back Frank Gore was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Gore suffered the injury during the second quarter of Thursday's game against Seattle. He went on to rush for 131 yards, but said afterward the injury was the most painful he's ever played through. Him practicing in full on Thursday is quite the feat, considering he said some small movements were still causing him pain on Monday.
While the injury may take up to several weeks to fully heal, Gore looks in line to make his 24th straight start on Monday against Arizona. He's rushed for 601 yards on 103 attempts this season and is averaging a career-high 5.8 yards per carry. If he is able to make it through this week OK, Gore's ribs will get a little time to heal as the 49ers are on a bye next week.
