Following the San Francisco 49ers' 13-6 win in an NFC West showdown against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh praised the efforts of both squads in comments he made on his KNBR 680-AM show, via the San Jose Mercury News' 49ers blog:
"It was great, a tremendous game. I don't know what fans thought of it. From my perspective, it was the best game I think I've been involved in in a decade, where both teams played their guts out."
The win gave San Francisco (5-2) sole possession of first place in a tight NFC race. The Arizona Cardinals and the Seahawks trail the 49ers by one game, and the St. Louis Rams remain in striking distance despite sitting in last among the group, at 3-3.
The 49ers face the Cardinals on Monday night with a chance to pad their NFC West lead heading into the second half of the NFL season.
Kickoff for Monday night's game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT and will be televised on ESPN.
