The Seattle Seahawks gained precious ground in the competitive NFC West following a narrow 24-23 win over the New England Patriots at The Link. The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals are each 4-2 along with the Seahawks, in a division now completely up for grabs.
The 49ers were the biggest disappointment of the week, getting beat thoroughly by the New York Giants at home by a score of 26-3, while turning the ball over four times. After being tabbed the odds-on favorite to win the division, San Francisco is now tied with Seattle and Arizona.
The Rams took a step back after falling to the Miami Dolphins, 17-14 and dropped to 3-3. They'll have a tough test as they host a red-hot Green Bay Packers team that is looking to climb back into its own division race.
San Francisco will host Seattle in the 49ers' first division game of the year at home on Thursday Night Football, in what looks to be a battle of the two most talented teams in the NFC West.
Arizona will travel to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7, after losing to the Buffalo Bills, 19-16, on Sunday.
