The San Francisco 49ers didn't pick up many bumps or bruises over the course of a 34-0 romp over the New York Jets.
New York lost Santonio Holmes for what looks to be an extended period of time after the receiver hurt his foot on a non-contact injury, but on the other sideline, the 49ers came away more or less unscathed. There were no significant injuries suffered by San Francisco players over the course of the game.
The Niners were still dealing with injury issues suffered in past games as nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga was unable to go with a variety of leg injuries. Although the team dominated without him, holding the Jets to 2.6 yards per carry on 17 attempts, his replacement, Ricky Jean-Francois, didn't make much of a difference. Jean-Francois didn't record any tackles in the easy victory. His backup, Ian Williams, also failed to tally any statistics. Brandon Jacobs was also still absent with a knee injury, as he has been all season, although he returned to practice this week and could be ready to go for the team's next game against Buffalo.
