Fantasy football 2012 sit/start: potential shootout gives advantage to Raider passing attack

The Raiders-Saints game this week could be a high scoring affair. Here are the guys you should start in this contest.

Patrick Smith

This week, the Raiders have the misfortune of hosting the suddenly-hot New Orleans Saints, who last week handed the Falcons their first and only loss. Drew Brees is playing out of his mind and simply will not be stopped. That being said, the Raider pass offense is also working like a well-oiled machine currently and that fact combined with how awful the Saints' pass defense is and this game could turn into a shootout. With that in mind, here are the only two Raiders you should start this week:

START: Carson Palmer. This is actually one of the more favorable matchups Palmer will have all year. We saw what he can do against even a great defense like the Ravens, now he faces a bad one. He may be the top fantasy QB overall this week. Expect a very big day.

START: Denarius Moore. He has proven to be far too good to be stopped on a regular basis and this defense is not the one that has the tools to do so. Expect Moore to go wild on a suspect New Orleans secondary.
