The NFL Combine is almost over, and the workouts are leading to a big shake-up in mock drafts across the Internet. The Oakland Raiders are sitting in the No. 3 spot, and there are several directions they could with this pick.
SB Nation's Matthew Fairburn released his latest mock draft on Monday, and for the first time in almost a month, he has a different player at the No. 1 position. Fairburn now projects West Virginia QB Geno Smith to go to the Raiders:
The unfortunate news about Star Lotulelei's heart condition shakes up the top of the draft. Until we know more details, it's tough to put him in the top 10. Geno Smith had an excellent combine, both on the field and in the media room. He mentioned the Raiders immediately when asked about teams he's visited with and it seems like a natural fit. If another team is interested, they could easily jump up and trade with either the Chiefs or Jaguars to get the West Virginia quarterback.
Oakland is in a tough spot here. None of the other QBs stood out in the Combine, Star Lotulelei's heart issue is a major concern, and guys like Damontre Moore and Bjoern Werner had less than impressive workouts. Carson Palmer has been adequate, but the Raiders need a real long-term answer at the QB position, and Smith seems to fit the bill here.

• Sounds of the Combine: Lots of grunts and groans
• Matt Barkley still has unfinished business
• Who will trade for Alex Smith?
