NFL Combine 2013: Schedule and preview

The 2013 NFL Combine begins in just a day as players from all over the country will file into Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for what basically boils down to the biggest job interview of their lives. Here is how the 2013 Combine schedule plays out:

Day 1 arrivals consist of Group 1 (kickers, special teams, offensive line), Group 2 (offensive line) and Group 3 (tight ends).

  • Wednesday, Feb. 20: Travel to Indianapolis, Registration, Hospital Pre-Exam, Ex-Rays, Orientation, Interviews
  • Thursday, Feb. 21: Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media, Interviews
  • Friday, Feb. 22: NFLPA Meeting, Psychological Testing, Special Teams Workout, Bench Press, Interviews
  • Saturday, Feb. 23: On-Field Workout (Timing, Stations, Skill Drills), Departure from Indianapolis

Day 2 arrivals consist of Group 4 (quarterbacks, wide receivers), Group 5 (quarterbacks, wide receivers) and Group 6 (running backs)

  • Thursday, Feb. 21: Travel to Indianapolis, Registration, Hospital Pre-Exam, X-Rays, Orientation, Interviews
  • Friday, Feb. 22: Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media, Interviews
  • Saturday, Feb. 23: NFLPA Meeting, Psychological Testing, Special Teams Workout, Bench Press, Interviews
  • Sunday, Feb. 24: On-Field Workout (Timing, Stations, Skill Drills), Departure from Indianapolis

Day 3 arrivals consist of Group 7 (defensive line), Group 8 (defensive line) and Group 9 (linebackers)

  • Friday, Feb. 22: Travel to Indianapolis, Registration, Hospital Pre-Exam, X-Rays, Orientation, Interviews
  • Saturday, Feb. 23: Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media, Interviews
  • Sunday, Feb. 24: NFLPA Meeting, Psychological Testing, Special Teams Workout, Bench Press, Interviews
  • Monday, Feb. 25: On-Field Workout (Timing, Stations, Skill Drills), Departure from Indianapolis

Day 4 arrivals consist of Group 10 (defensive backs) and Group 11 (defensive backs)

  • Saturday, Feb. 23: Travel to Indianapolis, Registration, Hospital Pre-Exam, X-Rays, Orientation, Interviews
  • Sunday, Feb. 24: Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media, Interviews
  • Monday, Feb. 25: NFLPA Meeting, Psychological Testing, Special Teams Workout, Bench Press, Interviews
  • Tuesday, Feb. 26: On-Field Workout (Timing, Stations, Skill Drills), Departure from Indianapolis

If you're hoping to keep an eye on players from the Bay Area that will be participating in the upcoming Combine, watch out for Cal wide receiver Keenan Allen, Cal running back C.J. Anderson, Cal defensive back Marc Anthony, Stanford tight end Zach Ertz, Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor, Stanford linebacker Chase Thomas, Stanford tight end Levine Toilolo and Cal defensive back Steve Williams.
