The Baltimore Ravens are possibly the most interesting matchup for the San Francisco 49ers out of all the teams that made it into the AFC playoffs. They've been pretty inconsistent over the last few seasons, but if there is anything they've consistently shown, it's their ability to put up big points when it counts.

Joe Flacco may have a sub-60 percent completion percentage, but when the game is on the line, he always seems to find Anquan Boldin for the first down or Torrey Smith for that deep reception to set up the game-winning field goal.
It's so interesting because Flacco has fallen short at times, but has also been there in the clutch. Which one will show up?
Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was asked about sealing the deal and winning this time. As noted by the Baltimore Sun, Suggs believes that the Ravens have the right amount of experience to make things happen.
"Because we've been there before," Suggs said. "All the tough games with a lot of great teams and a lot of the time we've been on the short end of those teams. I guess you learn from your mistakes. Good teams don't make the same mistake twice. We're on the other end of the coin this time."
Suggs is basically going with the "it's going to work sooner or later," and he believes that the Super Bowl is "sooner." It's true the Ravens have been close to this position before, fighting for their playoff lives in recent seasons.
Regardless, it's clear that the Ravens don't believe anything is entitled to them, and they aren't letting distractions get in their way. They are motivated, and will be playing emotionally-charged football on the back of Ray Lewis and his announced retirement. The Ravens may not have won a Super Bowl recently, but the 49ers are taking on a battle-tested team, to be sure.
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs thinks his team can pull off a win in the Super Bowl because his team is battle-tested.
