With the departure of one Golden State Warriors coach, there has been some shifting of the current coaching staff. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports files this report.
Golden State coach Mark Jackson has promoted Darren Erman to the No. 3assistant coach with departure of Wes Unseld, Jr., sources tell Y!
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) September 7, 2012
Erman was most recently a coaching assistant for player development after being hired away by the Boston Celtics. With the Celtics, Erman had scouting duties and also worked in a player development capacity. It's unclear what Erman's promotion means with regards to new duties. Before that he was an assistant coach at St. Anthony and Brandeis.
CSN Bay Area also reports that with Unseld off the staff, the vacancy has now been filled by Bob Beyer. Beyer spent five seasons with Stan Van Gundy on the Orlando Magic coaching staff and before that had worked at Dayton and Texas Tech. Interestingly, Unseld Jr. is headed to Orlando in a similar coaching position.
