49ers Vs. Jets: San Francisco leads New York 17-0 after 3rd quarter

The San Francisco 49ers extended their lead against the New York Jets to 17-0 going into the fourth quarter.

The 49ers tacked on their second touchdown of the day late in the third quarter on a two-yard touchdown run by Frank Gore. Gore capped off a six-play, 48-yard drive that was spurred by a 25-yard reception from Delanie Walker.

The Jets have just eight first downs on the day along with 128 yards of total offense. The 49ers have registered three New York turnovers, including fumble recoveries from defensive lineman Justin Smith and cornerback Carlos Rogers.

Alex Smith is 12-of-19 for 143 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions through three quarters. Frank Gore has 17 rushes for 45 yards and a score.

Mark Sanchez, meanwhile, is 9-of-20 for 89 yards and an interception. The quarter ended on a Tim Tebow run that resulted in a loss.
