The San Francisco 49ers take a trip to East Rutherford, N.J. to face the New York Jets in a battle of 2-1 teams with Super Bowl aspirations.
The Niners will look to get their offense back on track after it no-showed in their disappointing loss to the Minnesota Vikings last week. The offense turned the ball over three times and only scored one touchdown in a 24-13 loss.
The Niners are catching the Jets' defense in their first game since losing All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis to a possible season-ending ACL injury. Revis would blanket one side of the field, allowing for his teammates to be more aggressive in pass rush and helping each other cover the other receivers. Now, everyone's role changes in his absence and the Niners will look to take advantage of Revis's loss.
Niners running back Brandon Jacobs (knee) and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. (ankle) both practiced this week and should be available for Sunday's game.
